
About Robyn Ryan
Robyn is a marketing professional with more than 20 years experience in developing and executing strategic plans to meet both revenue goals and business objectives. She blends customer relationship marketing with new and traditional media tools to maximize revenues from an existing customer base as well as increasing profitability through effective targeting. Robyn utilizes a constructive leadership of team members and stakeholders to effect enterprise-wide acceptance and advocacy of marketing programs.
Most recently she was Vice President of Marketing at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In this position, she guided the efforts of the marketing team to support overall strategic direction and meet revenue goals for a casino resort with 2,300 slot machines, 91 table games, a harness racetrack, hotel, convention center and spa, 18 bars and restaurants, and several retail shops. Her areas of responsibility included database marketing, hotel revenue management, marketing analysis, players club, promotions, entertainment, special events, sponsorship revenue, property call center, advertising, social media, website and acquisition for the Play 4 Fun online gaming platform. While at Mohegan Sun Pocono, Robyn led the property through a full rebranding consisting of name change, market repositioning and full refresh of all advertising campaigns. She directed all marketing and revenue management activities for the new 238-room hotel, spa and convention center including the launch of the concert entertainment product. Finally, Robyn oversaw the development and launch of a new Player’s Club program, Momentum, which included benefits development, financial projections and creative execution.
Robyn has also served as Senior Director of Marketing for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a property owned by the Cherokee Nation. In this role, Robyn led the brand transition to Hard Rock while also managing all marketing aspects of a $150 million expansion project while continuing to direct the day-to-day marketing operations of a casino with 1,400 machines, 25 table games, four food outlets and three entertainment venues. The expansion project added: a 19-story hotel tower with an additional 350 rooms and suites, a casino with 700 additional games, a high limit area, a bar and nightclub, a 19th floor fine dining restaurant, and 23,000 square feet of convention space.
In addition to her casino experience, Robyn has worked with non-profit organizations and political candidates as a direct marketing fundraiser. This experience provides a unique perspective to challenges that organizations are facing today. This perspective is also complimented by her for-profit experience on both the agency and client sides as a marketer.
